The UIPA consists of four departmental areas:
Multidisciplinary Support Unit, Neuroimaging, Neuropathology
and Laboratory. During 2015, it has continued working primarily
on the Vallecas project, in addition to other research projects such
as Alzheimer's Project, the 'Detection of proteins in tears as
biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease" project, the '85+CIEN' Study
como biomarcadores de la enfermedad de Alzheimer’, el estudio
‘85+CIEN’ or the REGISTRY international project on Huntington's disease.
Moreover, the BT-CIEN has continued to increase the number
of registered donors, which now exceeds 600 people.
