collaborate with the research projects.
One of the research activities of these
departments consists in carrying out
a clinical, syndromic and etiological
diagnosis of the patients from the
CAFRS, either in the resident regime
(Units of Life) or in daycare (Day Cen-

obtained that will be very useful for the
other CIEN Foundation scientific areas
studies.
In addition to the clinical departments,
the CIEN Foundation has a translatio-
nal perspective in its original project,
made up of the departments of Bio-
chemistry and Molecular Genetics,
Neuropathology and Neuroimaging.
These three areas bring together the
most promising fields of research on
the biological processes underlying
dementia.
The CIEN Foundation is characteri-
zed by its marked multidisciplinary
